The pandemic is forcing a radical overhaul of classroom instruction to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The issues that schools face in providing remote instruction and planning the return to physical classrooms are complex. Karen Monroe, our elected Alameda County Superintendent of Schools, will talk about the efforts undertaken in the eighteen school districts, one county district, and seven charter schools that she oversees.
