Dr. Steve Blair

Dr Stephen Blair is retired from a career in basic research in support of national security. During his career at the national labs (Pacific Northwest and Lawrence Livermore) he led a wide variety of tasks in subsurface engineering including large scale field tests, laboratory testing programs and numerical modeling studies. Much of his work supported the areas of nuclear waste disposal, defense and energy resources.

Since retiring Steve has been active in Oakland Rotary, serving as committee chair for the Scholarship Committee as well as on the Board of Directors.   He has traveled twice to Columbia to monitor and review Rotary projects, and is now honored to serve on the ORE board
